about

From the sampler released as part of the KickStarter campaign to KickStart Pizza Tree, the best pizza parlor in Columbia, Missouri. The compilation was called PIZZA SONGS FOR PIZZA PARTIES, VOLUME 1. I also got Belly Belt (as "Kathryn Rose") and Mario Viele on this thing! Mario's track is the first track! I recorded accordion, ukulele, and vocals for the Belly Belt track, and also recorded some backing vocals for the Paper Ceilings track, which were unceremoniously cut from the final mix without notice. BURN!

Here's the entire compilation! - specialpassenger.bandcamp.com/album/pizza-songs-for-pizza-parties-vol-1

lyrics

Pizza Tree
The Pizza-est Tree, my friend, you've ever seen
The Pizza Tree has exactly what you need
So come take your pick from the Pizza Tree

Oh, Pizza Tree
You'll never see any tree more Pizza-ey
The greatest of Pizzas in all Missouri
Stroll down to your friendly Pizza Tree

If you're where, Missouri's there, you're in for quite a treat (say hi to Johnny G, but)
If you're where, Missouri's rare, get back to Cherry Street (it's in Columbia downtown)

[Whistling Solo]

If you're where, Missouri's there, you're in for quite a treat (say hi to Johnny G, but)
If you're where, Missouri's rare, get back to Cherry Street (it's in Columbia downtown)

Pizza Tree
The seed has been planted, watch it sprout, you'll see
And when it's full-grown, my friends, your mouths it feeds (and also your souls)
So pluck the ripe fruit from the Pizza Tree

Oh, Pizza Tree
The Pizza Tree's here, and it's for you and me (and everyone else)
If I were the king, I'd make just one decree
That everyone get to Pizza Tree
Let's every get to Pizza Tree
Quick everyone get to Pizza Tree
Now everyone geeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
To Pizzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Treeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Googolplexia Missouri

With his electric banjo and ukulele, accordion and trombone kazoo, Robert Severson has crafted Saint Louis, Missouri's Googolplexia into a one-man outsider vaudeville. Severson stomps, claps, and gurgles into the disparate, cobwebbed corners of American music and sometimes beyond. Expect screwball theatrics at their most hand-embroidered. ... more
