Glass Teeth Eulogy

about

The amazing band Glass Teeth played their last concert in the latter half of July, MMXI. Unfortunately it was during the time of the very first Googolplexia tour, so Googz was unable to do this live. However, we hatched the plan to pre-record it (or, umm, pipe it in via "satellite compact disc") to introduce the band that night. This thing is pretty danged long even for a Googz recitatif. I'm surprised people actually tolerated sitting through the whole thing (if in fact they did...I wasn't there!). I believe this was recorded on Daniel "Switchblade" McKenzie's iPhone because I didn't yet know that my iPod had the same audio-recording function. You can hear Daniel and I talking about whether it actually worked at the end of the track.

As for the flyer art: I found it on the RFT's website and had to blow it up to meet the minimum standards of BandCamp artwork upload, hence why it looks like garbage. Black For A Second didn't actually play the show. Shaved Women did.

Severson stomps, claps, and gurgles into the disparate, cobwebbed corners of American music and sometimes beyond. Expect screwball theatrics at their most hand-embroidered. ... more
